Responding to the Texas Flood Victims

CDR is coordinating teams that are coming alongside Calvary Chapel Hill Country in Kerrville, Texas. The current vision involves serving food, praying for people and minor clean-up for affected locals and congregants of the church.

Dates and cost:

  • We are asking individuals and teams to serve from Sunday to Saturdays each week.

  • The starting dates we have so far are (July 20-26) – (July 27-August 2) – (August 3-9).

Travel and accommodations:

  • Volunteers are responsible for their own travel arrangements. The closest major airport is San Antonio, with plenty of rental car companies and the drive to Kerrville is about one hour.

  • The current sleeping arrangements will be on air mattresses in church classrooms. Showers will be provided in homes of members in the church.

  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided, but there will be a suggested donation of $100.00 for dinner for the week.

Information needed:

For each person interested in serving, please provide the following information:

  • A short bio/testimony describing your faith and letter of referral from your pastor.  Please email both to CDR@calvarylh.org

  • Additionally, each person needs to fill out our “team interest form” which you can access by clicking on the “I am interested in serving” prompt.

Update on SoCal Fire Relief:

We are so blessed by the overwhelming response from the church in America and all who have shown up to help us in Southern California! The work is still far from over, but we trust God through this process.

As the response phase transitions to rebuilding, CDR pivots and will discontinue our efforts in this specific disaster response and start preparing for the next one.
